What ELV does
ELV passes your car details to a vehicle buyer. We do not buy cars or take payment.
Each enquiry goes to one vehicle buyer that covers its postcode. We tell you who straight away. If we have no buyer for your area yet, we tell you straight away and keep nothing.
You need to be 18 or over to use this form.
You pay ELV nothing. The buyer may pay ELV a fee for each enquiry it receives, whether or not you sell.

Price, collection and payment
The buyer confirms the price after checking the car. It can change if the car differs from what you told us.
The buyer agrees the price with you before collection and pays you directly when the sale is completed. In England, Wales and Scotland, the law does not let scrap car buyers pay cash. In Northern Ireland, ask your buyer to pay by bank transfer. ELV never holds or handles your money.
The buyer arranges the paperwork, including the Certificate of Destruction where the car is scrapped.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you keep the protection of the law where you live, and you can bring a claim about these terms or this website in your local courts or in the courts of England and Wales. If we ever have to bring a claim against you, we'll bring it in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
